Information we collect

Website visitors

If you fill out a contact or application form, we collect the information you give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, location, and the details you include about your experience or your freight. Our website may also collect standard technical information automatically, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring site.

Customers, shippers, and brokers

We collect business contact information, shipment and load details, pickup and delivery locations, billing and payment information, and correspondence related to the work we do together.

Drivers, owner-operators, and applicants

If you apply to drive for us or lease onto our authority, we collect information required to qualify and onboard you, including your name, address, phone number, email, date of birth, Social Security number, CDL and medical certificate information, employment and accident history, motor vehicle records, drug and alcohol testing records and Clearinghouse queries, and — for owner-operators — business entity, equipment, insurance, and payment information.

Some of this collection is required by federal regulation, not by us. Motor vehicle records, Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) reports, and background checks are obtained only after we provide you with a separate written disclosure and obtain your written authorization, as required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Text messaging

If you provide your mobile number, we may send you text messages related to dispatch, scheduling, load assignments, application status, or account matters. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

How you agree to receive texts

We only send text messages to people who have given us their mobile number and agreed to be contacted that way. You can give consent by:

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of employment, of leasing onto our authority, or of doing business with us. We do not buy, rent, or accept phone numbers from third-party or shared lists.

After you opt in, we send a single confirmation message that identifies us, describes the type and frequency of messages you will receive, and explains how to stop them.

How you decline or stop texts

Reply STOP to any message from us. We also honor END, CANCEL, QUIT, and UNSUBSCRIBE, as well as plain-language requests such as "please stop texting me." You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not text you again unless you opt back in. You can also opt out by emailing dispatch@awadlogisticsgroup.com or calling (855) 292-3552.

Opting out of text messages does not affect your application, your loads, or your account. We will contact you by phone or email instead.

Help

Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at dispatch@awadlogisticsgroup.com or (855) 292-3552.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to run the business or as required by law, including with:

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

How long we keep information

We keep information as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and longer where the law requires it. Federal regulations set minimum retention periods for certain records — for example, driver qualification files and drug and alcohol testing records must be retained for periods set by 49 CFR Parts 391 and 382. Because of these requirements, we may be unable to delete certain records on request.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including limited access, password protection, and secure storage of paper files. Drug and alcohol testing records are handled under the confidentiality requirements of 49 CFR Part 40. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may contact us at dispatch@awadlogisticsgroup.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct inaccurate information, or to request deletion. We will respond within a reasonable time and will tell you if a legal retention requirement prevents us from honoring a deletion request. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you may disable cookies through your browser settings.

Children

Our services are directed to businesses and to adults seeking employment or contracting opportunities. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Third-party sites

Our website may link to sites we do not control. This policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted at awadtransportation.com/privacy.html with a revised effective date.
